Did you know that through all of your hard work OxyGo has  helped over one million oxygen patients? Over the course of the last six years, our company has touched over 1,000,000 oxygen patients lives! Whether with an OxyGo unit, one of our accessories, or an Applied Home Healthcare transfilling product - over 1,000,000 oxygen patients have used one of our company's products.   To celebrate this amazing feat, we are going to have a series of celebratory events over the remaining year. To kick off our celebration, we will have a companywide luncheon on June 24th. It will begin at 11:30 AM EST, with a simulcast of a presentation from the former CEO of Inogen and our company leadership. After the presentation we will have box lunches available for team members to enjoy together or socially distanced depending on your vaccination status.   Further celebrations are in the works, but save the date for October 27th for our OxyGo impact awards where we will be recognizing suppliers and having a big celebration to recognize this

Oxygen therapy plays a role in managing various health conditions, especially those affecting the respiratory system. Despite its importance, many misconceptions about oxygen therapy persist. We aim to dispel some of these myths and provide accurate information about the benefits and uses of oxygen therapy in this blog. Myth 1: Oxygen Therapy is Only for Severe Conditions Many people believe that oxygen therapy is only necessary for those with severe respiratory conditions like Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) or severe asthma. Fact: Oxygen therapy is beneficial for a range of health issues, including sleep apnea, cystic fibrosis and certain heart diseases. It is also used for patients recovering from surgery or experiencing acute respiratory distress. Myth 2: Oxygen Therapy is Addictive A common misconception is that patients can become addicted to oxygen therapy. Fact: Using supplemental oxygen is not addictive. Patients do not become dependent on oxygen therapy as they might with certain medications. Instead, it provides support to ensure adequate oxygen levels in the body, which promotes overall health and well-being. Myth 3: Portable Oxygen Concentrators are Bulky and Inconvenient Some people think that portable oxygen concentrators are cumbersome and difficult to manage. Fact: Modern portable oxygen concentrators, like our OxyGo units, are designed to be lightweight, compact and easy to use. These devices allow patients to lead active, mobile lifestyles wit

Concentrators and CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) oxygen machines are different devices that serve different purposes in respiratory health. Here is a comparison of the two:  Oxygen Concentrator: An oxygen concentrator is designed to provide supplemental oxygen to individuals with low blood oxygen levels such as chronic lung conditions like COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). It extracts oxygen from the surrounding air and delivers it in a more concentrated form to the patient.  Used to increase the oxygen content in the air that a person breathes. It is used during waking hours or continuously, depending on the individual's oxygen needs. Delivers concentrated oxygen via nasal cannula, mask, or tubing. Used when a patient's blood oxygen levels are below the recommended range, and they require additional oxygen to maintain adequate oxygenation. CPAP Machine: A CPAP machine is primarily used to treat sleep apnea, a condition characterized by interrupted breathing during sleep. It delivers a continuous stream of air at a prescribed pressure to keep the airway open. Used exclusively during sleep to maintain an open airway and ensure regular breathing patterns. It is not used for oxygen supplementation. Delivers a stream of pressurized air via mask or nasal pillows to keep the airway open. It does not provide supplemental oxygen unless it is a specific CPAP machine with integrated oxygen delivery (not standard). Monitors air pressure and air
